Desire

I know, I know - it's been a while (I think my last ten posts start by saying that). This Owl and a pair of wolves have been the main things on my work table lately. This was probably around 17 hours total, but that's due to working at a bigger size (11 x 16) using just colored pencils. Also, being colorblind, I have to test all the colors out in relation to each other. Takes a little longer, but I'm more happy with the end results compared to when I was just guessing and hoping the colors would work out.

In addition to this and the unmentioned illustration, I've been very hard at work on issue #2 of my comic Redemption (may change that title. I don't think the people that bought issue 1 last year will notice/worry about the change), as well as making my way out ot more gallery shows and becoming more involved with other artists. By looking at the dates of blog entries, it would seem like I'm incredibly inactive (artistically speaking), but that could not be any further from the truth. I hope everything is good on your end.

Dracula

Again - digital. Wasn't sure about the composition for a while.

The Mummy

A much more successful go-round working digitally. One of the first in what (I hope) will become a series, theme-wise.

Castle

I've had this sitting around and I've been working on it off and on for months. After finishing Issue 1 of my comic, I realized I needed to brush up big time on working digitally. There's still a ton of things I would change on this, but at the same time, I'm happy with it. I don't think much of my future digital pieces are going to look at all like this, but that's fine by me. Makes this a little more unique.

Positivity

Tried using an ebony pencil instead of a black color pencil to get a deeper black. The scan makes it look much brighter than it really is. If you're not sure, yes those are flowers growing out of the bottom.
